Booking and Payment
To make a confirmed booking we require a Deposit of 20%.
The payment of a Deposit implies acceptance of our terms and conditions.
On receipt of your Deposit we will send a Confirmation by email.
The balance falls due 8 weeks before the arrival date.
Bookings made less than eight weeks before arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking.
We reserve the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received within the agreed timescales.
The number of people in the booking must not exceed the advertised gite capacity without special permission. All properties must have a responsible adult whilst staying in the property.
Cancellations
Cancellations should be made in writing.
Cancellations made more than eight weeks prior to the due arrival date will forego the deposit only.
Those made less than eight weeks prior to the due arrival date will forego the full amount unless we are able to re-let the accommodation. Please be aware that in order to re-let the property we may have to discount the price and this discounted price would be the amount reimbursed.
Should we for reasons beyond our control have to cancel your booking we will reimburse the rental amount paid at the date of cancellation. We cannot accept liability for any other expenses or inconvenience incurred including but not restricted to flights, ferry charges or car hire charges resulting from the cancellation.
We strongly recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance before departure (including cancellation cover).
Covid Specific Restrictions
In light of the recent global pandemic we have put in place specific terms and conditions, should you not be able to travel to us due to Covid-19 on your booked dates. For this you agree to ensure that each member of your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance product prior to booking with us.
If you have paid part of or your total balance and are then unable to travel due to government restrictions on travel being in place between France and your country of residence, we will provide you with a credit for the amount you have paid. This is redeemable up to 12-months from the date of your original stay. Should your dates be moved from low to high season, payment of the difference will be required to secure your dates. We are unable to refund the difference if your stay moves from high to low season.
Should you decide not to travel, for any reasons other than a government order in place either in France or your country of residency then our standard cancellation policy is applicable
Arrival
Guests are welcome to arrive from 4:00pm onwards. If guests arrive earlier they are very welcome to drop off luggage to leave them free to go shopping or sight seeing.
Departure
Guests are requested to vacate their gite by 10:00am on the day of departure.
Guests are requested to leave the property clean and tidy with all items put back in their original place, ie cooking utensils, crockery, bbq equipment. We are always grateful when guests strip linen from beds.
If the bbq has been used, ashes should be cleaned out and the bbq rack cleaned for the next guests.
Linen
We provide both bathroom and pool towels. Bathroom towels are exclusively for use within the gite.
For bookings of two weeks duration we will offer a set of clean bed linen and towels after the first week.
Care of Property, Damage and Breakages
We request a security deposit of €200 paid at the same time as your final payment, we do accept that accidents happen and as such all we do ask guests to bring to our attention as soon as possible items that are accidentally broken, damaged or spoilt in any way during their stay. Your security deposit is there to cover any additional cleaning or for the replacement of substantially damaged items during your stay.
Electricity, Gas and Water
Electricity, gas for cooking and water charges are included within the rental price.
Smoking
All gites, the pool area and the children’s play areas are designated no smoking areas.
We respectfully request smokers to dispose of cigarette butts thoughtfully and not to put them in gite kitchen bins.
Swimming Pool
Children under 14 years old must be supervised at all times by an adult (18+)who must be in the pool enclosure with them.
Strictly no glass or china is allowed in the pool area and no sharp objects are permitted in the pool as they may damage the pool liner.We provide plastic glasses and crockery for use by the pool and request that all guests abide by our request to use them at all times if in the pool enclosure Any breakage of glass or china in the pool area may result in us closing and draining the pool and we will seek reimbursement of the additional costs that this will incur.
The pool is unheated so please be aware that water temperature is dependent on weather conditions.
”We request that prior to using the pool, you shower, at the shower attached to the pool house to remove any suncream, as certain brands react with, and damage, the pool liner. We specifically request that you do not use P20 or similar single application products, as the constituants within these products damage the pool liner.
We will clean the pool during your stay periodically between the hours of 08:00am – 10:00am ,however we will aim to open the pool by 09:00am and respectfully ask you to not use the pool after 8pm
Pets
We regret that we are unable to welcome pets to ensure the comfort of guests with allergies.
Conduct of Guests
We respectfully request guests to be considerate to other guests, particularly when dining and drinking al fresco late at night!
Complaints
Any problem should be brought to our attention immediately it becomes apparent so that we may rectify the situation quickly to everyone’s satisfaction.
